horticultury in the tundra

the tundra-esque winter this year has left me craving some green!  in the hopes that my brown thumb has magically turned green, i have decided that i am now a horticulturalist.

(succulents)
(thyme)
(cat grass from seed)
(the very fickle maidenhair fern)
(pothos and basil)
(lemon-lime dracaena)

let it be noted that i have a talent at killing even pothos which are apparently the easiest plants to grow.  lesson learned- don't leave them in your car overnight when it is -2 outside.  my new determination to keep my new friends alive has led to some significant research skills that would have been more beneficial in college- but no one's life was in jeopardy in college.

my sudden plant obsession has led to a need for a plant stand and i found exactly what i want....for $300....in Sweden??  (foreign language was also not a high priority in college)

that is a touch out of this non-profit providers price range so i am going to take on carpentry along with my horticultury.  how hard can this be?!  stay tuned
